A customer recently wanted us to breathe new life into a Linn Axis they had bought new. The Axis turntable was introduced in October 1989 as a reasonable quality entry level turntable, and finally discontinued in March 1994. This model from ~1991 came to us in a reasonable state, and a quick look over highlighted a broken stylus on the cartridge, somewhat gloopy oil, and a tired drive belt. The Linn Basik Plus tonearm bearings were in great condition, so a service, new Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge, drive belt, clean and setup, has given it a new lease of life!
