Iso Acoustics

Iso Acoustics Inc. has been manufacturing and distributing award winning isolation products in audio industry since January 2012. In this relatively short period of time, Iso Acoustics has grown rapidly and now sells in over 70 countries. Based on patented designs, Iso Acoustics has developed products for the Professional Audio and home project studio, the HiFi and consumer market, and large applications that include Pro Audio, HiFi and Live sound.

 

Iso Acoustics, How do they work ?

All HiFi components are subject to vibration either self – generated (Loudspeakers) or induced from the sound in the room.  Iso Acoustics isolators work by absorbing this energy and converting it into minute amounts of heat.

In the case of a loudspeaker (the most common use) they absorb the energy buzzing around the speaker cabinet and prevent it from being transmitted into the floor, which usually resonates and passes this delayed vibration back into the speaker again.   Even if your floor is solid concrete or stone, this can reflect some of the energy back into the cabinets if you’re using spikes.   Of course if your floor is vibrating, so is your HiFi system if its in the same room !

The patented IsoAcoustics technology is based from years of experience in the design and construction of radio and television studios. IsoAcoustics was founded by Dave Morrison, who was closely involved in planning and building radio and television studios at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for close to 20 years. Dave Morrison was part of the design team faced with the challenges of building the world’s largest multi-media center in Toronto: over 1.72 million square feet, with recording studios for drama, music, and chamber ensembles, special effects, radio and television shows.
