HiFiCinema Webstore Now Active

Here at HiFi Cinema, we have been working on a new webstore, to allow easier access to those products suitable for selling over the internet. The plan is for it to be as much of a one-stop-shop as we can, so we are open to suggestions of products to add. Not all products are suitable for distance selling, and there is really no replacement for coming to the showroom and listening to products to see how they perform. Kaleidescape Store

Kaleidescape the Movie server manufacturers have launched their movie download service in the UK. This service allows Kaleidescape system owners to buy and download movies as they are put on general release, beating the DVD / BluRay releases. kaleidescape are still widely acknowledged as making the best Movie servers in the world, and this agreement with some of the largest studios is further proof of their excellence. Naim Celebrate 40 years

                             Naim Audio Ltd. was officially incorporated on the 4th June 1973, and to celebrate have created an anniversary page on their web site featuring a timeline. Click to picture below to read their fascinating history:

New Akubarik from Linn

                            March saw the official launch of the Akubarik from Linn. This is a fully active speaker, with amplification built-in to the back of the cabinet, and powered by the latest in Dynamik power supplies. The bass driver assembly features dual drivers facing each other similar in concept to the old Isobarik speakers, so that the output drive unit is effectively isolated from back pressures from the cabinet resulting in surprising rich deep bass from a compact cabinet.

Arcam launches new AV receivers

                             At the Munich HiFi Show last month Arcam launched their new series of AV receivers. Dubbed the AVR750, AVR450 and AVR380, they are promising outstanding performance, and high reliability. The AVR750 is scheduled to be available next Month, and we’re looking forward to hearing it as soon as possible – look out for next months news for our verdict.
