HiFi Installation
Most HiFi systems are relatively simple with a rack full of players, and amplifiers, then with speaker cable connecting from the power amplifiers to the speakers. However this can easily be multiplied by multiple sources, power supplies, mains conditioning units, active crossovers and interconnects etc. to end up with a complex system to produce the best possible sound.
We make sense of the hifi installation, and leave you with a system that works fabulously and simply. Whether you want control from your iPad, via an infra-red remote control or by good old fashioned buttons and knobs, we have the expertise to bring your system together into a cohesive unit to play your favourite music in the highest quality possible.
Not every HiFi Installation needs to have so many boxes of electronics as this!
Basic HiFi installation is usually included with most of the electronics we sell. If you have a problem, we normally are able to come up with a solution keeping the sound quality at the best it can be.
Room Correction
Some modern HiFi includes sophisticated room correction algorithms that allow the HiFi to compensate for the undesirable effects that the room and / or speaker position may have on your music listening. In the past these have generally made things worse rather than better, however the Linn Space Optimisation system, is one that we have found to be particularly good if used correctly. See our page on Space Optimisation for further details.
HiFi Installation stages
Most Bespoke installation usually consists of three phases:
- First Fix – Installing and hiding the necessary cables to make it all work and making sure there is space and ventilation for the equipment.
- Second fix – installing faceplates and terminations etc. (usually done after any decoration).
- Final fix – installing the expensive electronics in a clean environment, and doing any programming necessary This also includes installation of any control systems to help drive it all.
Sometimes these phases happen all at once, however if cables are to be chased into walls so they disappear, or custom cabinetry is involved, it is generally more sensible to clearly separate the phases out so that the equipment is kept pristine and free from dust and paint etc. The process is the same for our Home Cinema Installations, however generally HiFi Installations have fewer wires to worry about!
