Chord Electronics first took flight from the aviation world, where engineering without limits means uncompromising standards. This concept designed by company owner John Franks has helped shaped their philosophy since the company’s inception in 1989. Their first amplifiers were supplied to the BBC, followed by world-leading studios including Abbey Road, Sony Music (New York) and later, The Royal Opera House.
Chord Electronics’ reputation within the professional world generated demand for a domestic range encompassing the design, engineering and build standards demanded of the finest pro equipment. Today, Chord Electronics applies proprietary technologies to all of their British-made products and proudly deliver studio-grade audio performance across the entire Chord range.
Come and talk to us about the Chord Electronics range and experience some of their wonderfully engineered products.
In our showroom we have a great setup using the Melco Server coupled to the Hugo M-Scaler and Hugo TT 2 DAC as the front end. We’ve found this combination to be hugely exciting, and using the matching TToby power amp to drive your speakers, creates a compact and elegant HiFi with outstanding performance.
The Hugo M Scaler (left) upscales incoming digital audio to 768kHz sample rate to get the best out of the Chord high speed DACs. They use the “Watts Transient Alignment” upscaling algorithm for bringing out the best possible audio quality. This definitely has to be heard to be understood, so book an appointment to have a listen…
